About Terry

Born in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire in 1950, Terry quickly developed a talent for drawing. At age 18 he planned to study fine art and illustration but got side-tracked into photography when his uncle gave him a camera.

During the early 70s he studied photography at Derby College of Art under John Blakemore, one of Britain’s finest art photographers. He then pursued a successful career as an advertising photographer photographing everything from Arthur the cat and Gotham City to pizza, pasta and Spitfire planes under restoration

Terry pursues his own photography when time allows, concentrating on flowers and urban and natural landscapes. He is currently building a second career as an artist, working mostly in coloured pencils.

Terry lives and works in Rugby, Warwickshire and has exhibited twice at the Rugby Open Art Exhibition.
